Carnegie Mellon University

Carnegie Mellon is a dynamic, diverse university. In the last 30 years it has developed from a regional college to a comprehensive international university known for innovative education, research and creative activity in many fields. A small private school, its student body numbers approximately 4,500 undergraduate and 2,800 graduate students. The student-to-faculty ratio is roughly nine to one.

Carnegie Mellon is located in Oakland, one of the educational and cultural centers of the city, near prominent museums, theaters and libraries. The 90-acre campus shares a border with Schenley Park, the city’s largest park.
